The Lost Feeling Blog Post

The Lost Feeling

I was encouraged two weeks ago and excited last week. I had all these stories I want to share in my mind that’s waiting to spurt out of words to be written on this blog, but now I’m lost. I’m lost for words, everything all of a sudden are vague. I thought, this is a weird feeling. Am I just exhausted? Just drained? Maybe the packing of boxes after boxes drained me a lot? Or must be the constant thinking of logistics about moving and where everything should go when we leave the island. Or maybe, the hormonal pregnancy changes play its role as well?

Yesterday, my husband arrived and the house was full of joy! We’re all so excited for his arrival and I can’t wait to get back on my sleeping habit. After all, I’ve been without much sleep for the past 4 nights he’s gone. I just can’t sleep well without him beside me.

It dawned on me that I needed REST. I always feel guilty when I rest. So, I searched for verses to help me rest and rejuvenate my soul today.

Isaiah 40:28-31
“Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”

Psalms 73:26
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

Psalms 62:1-2
“My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.”

Psalm 131:2
“But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.”

Psalm 116:37
“Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.”

Now, I’m off to REST.

May these verses give you peace today and rest to your soul as you go about your life today.
