Romans 8:28 – And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Almost everyday, whenever I get a chance, I check my case status online. The last message I got was I am on queue to be scheduled for oath ceremony for my citizenship. But there was no date yet. WE HAVE TO CHANGE OUR FLIGHT ON FEB 4TH.
That’s the plan, but when I logged in yesterday morning to check it again. The status was changed from waiting…to rejoicing! Although the status doesn’t say any date of my oath, it definitely clearly states that I am scheduled to take my oath. I am beyond relief. To top it off, I got an email from our state representative’s office who helped us check the status of my citizenship. Before I even receive the letter today, she emailed me the date for Feb 11th oath ceremony.
We believe God is in control and He knows the time when and where. Shortly after, I called Smartfares where we purchased our tickets (last summer) to move the date of our flight. My joy was almost taken away because of the amount of fees we have to pay to move our flight tickets for all of us. It was $1800, almost the price of all our tickets. We have no choice but to go ahead and pay the exchange fee and ticket difference.
But then I realized that He who began the good work in us, will make it to completion—up to the day He comes back. Right now, I’ll just live by the moment of praising Him for answering our prayers. And despite the money we have lost today, we have gained understanding to trust Him more today and in the future.
I will not feel defeated or cheated. I will praise Him everyday. I will not feel burdened nor worry, for He is by our side. I will not feel discouraged or lost, for everything, He has a purpose
