We started this week our summer homeschool. Our kids both took a break for about 2+ months since we arrived in the Philippines and it has been a great time for them to get assimilated with the culture, spend time with our family in Manila and learn some basic language here and there. We got some of our school materials from National Bookstore, it’s like Philippines’ version of Barnes & Noble. Not close enough, but we love going in there to check out the school supplies and books!
Now that their summer homeschooling started, they’ll be able to catch the days they’ve missed and get another month break before they get to 3rd grade and kindergarten by August or first week of September.
That will be the start of rainy season here.
